The Air permeability tester 37SC measures precisely the flow and speed of a determined quantity of air (lt) that passes perpendicularly across a fabric

Like the bench-top apparel, Air permeability 37S, the upgraded version AIR PERMEABILITY 37SC measures the exact air permeability of all types of permeable fabrics.

Air permeability 37SC has a NEW DESIGN

Repeatability and reproducibility improve thanks to the particular attention given to the design of a new frame structured in a double indoor volume that separates devices that generate a a thermal load by suction unit from those of precision measuring sensors and of airflow control.

Physical testing laboratories, merceological laboratories, textile finishing, QC and Textile materials characterization are the main applications where an instrument like this is used for.

The tests has to be carried out by operators inside conditioned areas to be in compliance with Standard ISO 139 as prescribed by reference norms UNI EN ISO 9237 and ASTM D-737 and equivalent ones.

Composed of a floor standing unit support with wheels its handling is comfortable to move easily in big spaces and production areas.

The Quick check function introduced in the logic of the apparel allows the operator to measure quickly multiple points of the specimen/mesh saving directly all results on memory.

At the end of the test the operator will have a full test report to evalute the uniformity of the whole material, thus its production process and finishing.

After the initial test settings, the user runs an air permeability test monitoring events on touch screen by means of command function keys for Pressure drop (Pa), Time (s) and other parameters analyzing test running and results savings.

regolazione-pressione Fine adjustment on pressure drop can be chosen manual or automatic by means of modulation devices arranged on air circuit.

A) The suction is powered from an innovative ultra-silent vacuum unitwith a noise level lower than 40 dB incorporated inside the tester.

B) Thanks to QUICK CHECK function the operator achieves the air permeability results after few seconds also testing very low permeability samples;

C) Pressure drop control can be both manual or automatic

D) Electro-mechanical clamping system with activation switch ideal for ASTM D-737, where flanges always same clampling force not exceeding 0 5 N.

Calibration check?
Air permeability tester 37SC is supplied together with a calibration check plate for periodical checks on machine calibration.

On request tester calibration check plate can be supplied with copy of conformity certificate.

With thicker samples up to 1 cm or more, special cover sleeve with requested area (cm2) can be applied on original test area.

Air permeability tester 37SC is designed to support roll of materials to slide on test area to verify its uniformity.

Test area reduction flanges of 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 cm2 are arranged together with the air permeability tester and used in correlation to Reference Standard; on request auxiliary test area of 38 cm2 is used in test performances under pressure drop set at 125 Pa in compliance with Standard ASTM D-737.

Through HMI 5" Touch Screen the operator can set up parameters easily:

1) ASCII Printer: once the test is finished, user can print test results on paper report thanks to auxiliary ASCII printer available in both impact or thermal models. Inside test listing report are shown following information:

  • Address
  • Operator
  • Sample No.
  • Supplier
  • External Temperature ( C) as per ISO139
  • External Relative humidity (%) as per ISO139
  • Additional notes
  • Test results expressed in the selected measure units Lt/min, Lt/m2/s, m/s, etc.

2) BAP04 application software: add-ins software with datalogging functions and remote control, statistical analyses of test results through microsoft office excel.
