The Water proof 35S is a laboratory apparel for Textile labs able to determine the water proof limits of fabrics, technical textiles and other water resistant materials subjected to a hydrostatic pressure increase expressed in cm.Wg/min.

The final pressure defines the water proof value as the maximum limit of water pressure reached by material subjected to a constant pressure; the test results are expressed in millimeters of Water Column (mm.WC) and are achieved only after the first three water drops appear on the surface of the material in conformity with national and international Standard UNI, EN, ISO, ASTM, AATCC, etc..

The closure is designed to block tightly the sample between two flanges to avoid any water leaks beside the test area; on request Water Proof 35S includes auxiliary reduction flanges of 10, 26 and 28 cm2 in compliance with Standards.

Water proof 35S settings are basically achieved from the original model of Water Columns 35.
Since then, according to the traditional concept, the evolution of Water proof 35S covers the highest ranges of pressure range designed Water Proof machines, that reaches up to 20 meters of water column ideal for any sort of technical applications and testing materials approaching suitably according to the traditional methods ideal for technical textiles, Goretex, Elastam and other materials resistant to water.

HMI Touch Screen with 5" monochromatic display is a useful user interface for enduser who has to manage the apparel during test performances. The programming includes a special area for parameters setting, test monitor and other useful functions and operational commands for the user control while before, meanwhile and after test performances. A storage location memory up to maximum of 50 results to enable point-to-point analyses and trend graphs generation.

The Quality Certificate of the Water Proof 35S is released on request and issued by ACCREDIA, ENAC, UKAS, TUNAS institutions or by other recognized quality centers according to Customer preferences.

Water proof 35S is the automatic apparel able to offer a selection of test procedures:

  • DINAMIC, increase of pressure up to water permeability limits (3 drops test);
  • STATIC (24/48 h of hydro-static pressure stabilization);
  • PROGRAMMED (Custom trend profile of pressures with time period configured by the user);

ASCII printer BWP35S

1) Built-in ASCII Printer: the print out of tests listing report is issued by the ASCII printer.
On test reports input data are reported as indicated below:

  • Comments;
  • Test results;
  • User signature;


Software for statistical analyses

2) Software BWP STAT04 with Runtime dongle key, allows to evaluate statistical calculations, trend graphs, real-time monitoring, logging functions managing parameters setting directly by remote; the application software adopts an add-ins application of Microsoft Office Excel and communicate with the apparel across USB or ETHERNET port onboard;
  • Parameters setting: pressing on reference cell it's possible to set across a dialog box the input value transmitting and receiving data to the Water Proof;

  • data storage is available through different functions in correspondence to an event or a command respectively programmed or queried by the user.The file format can be registered flexibly.
