Air Permeability 37S is a lab equipment for fabric testing able to determine the exact resistance of a determined airflow through fabrics and other materials.

Designed by Branca Idealair to test all textile and paper materials, including garments and industrial fabrics, for technical use, woven and nonwovens, airbag, parachutes, blankets, napped fabrics, knitted fabrics, layered fabrics, pile fabrics, downproof, filtration, felts, papers and others type of materials.

The Air permeability is an important factor in the performance of textile materials and defined by determining the air speed of a fixed volume that pass perpendicularly across a specimen under examination in compliance with national and international standards.

Once setting-up test parameters as known area (cm2, ft2) and pressure drop (Pa) just proceed starting Air permeability test

Front control panel is equipped with a 5" display HMI Touch Screen as user interface for the overall management and diagnostic leds.

Pressure drop control (Pa) is done by the operator through side regulation knobs or in automatic mode across modulation valves under electronic control.

For analyses on thicker samples over 8 mm, a suitable air cover flange can be apply on samples before test performances to exclude any air leaks by the sides of test area.

A calibration check metal plate allows to verify periodically the exact reading by the instrument as specified by the Standards UNI EN ISO 9237:97 and ASTM D-737.

Test results are saved on memory and expressed in the following measure units as indicated below:
